Seeking God’s Will

1. Our True Purpose
   • Following Christ’s example, we are to work with God. Our purpose is to do the will of God. {John 6:37-38}
2. Seeking His will for Us
   • Keeping God in charge of our lives we will remain in His will. We should always seek God’s will and follow His plans. {Psalm 16:7-8}
   • When we seek the Lord’s will, we are more apt to hearing what He is telling us. {Acts 16:6}

1. When seeking God’s Will
1. make sure your plan is in accordance to God’s Word
2. ask mature Christians for advice
3. Check your motives – are you doing it for yourself, or for God?
4. Pray for God to open and close doors as He desires

3. Reward for being in God’s Will
   • If we patiently and persistently do God’s will, we will have eternal life.{Romans 2:7}
   • This is not contrary to salvation coming by faith alone, {Romans 1:16,17} By having faith in God we do His will in thanks for His grace.
