Pencil Holder

Make pancakes out of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple clay on the waxed paper. Stack them in the order of a rainbow. Cut into a rectangle about 1 1/2 X 7 inches. Bend the clay into an arch with your hands. Make 8 holes about 3/4 inch apart long ways with the pen top. Make sure the holes are deep enough to hold pencils or pens.

Put the arch on a baking sheet and wad up some aluminum foil to b\put under the arch to maintain shape while baking. Bake according to clay manufacturer's instructions. Allow to cool and then you have a cool pencil holder.

Marble Painting

What you need:

What you do:

Tape a piece of paper inside the box on the bottom, making sure it fits. If neede cut the paper. Wearing the gloves, dip a marble into paint. Put the marble inside the box and rooll it around. Let the paint dry and then do the same with another color. Continue until you like the finished product. Once done take the paper out of the box and hang it up to show it off.

Variations:

Us differnt colored paper, such as black paper with fluorescent paint. Blue paper with white paint. ETC........

Sun Catcher(parental supervision required)

What you need:

'Sharpen" the crayons using the pencil sharpener to make shavings. Spread them out on wax paper in your own design. Place another sheet on top. Cover with a towel and Iron until the crayon shavings are melted. Remove the towel. Use the oven mitt to smooth over the waxed paper. This will blend the crayons and mix the colors. Then let cool completely. Cut into your desired shape and then to make a hanger for it, Poke a whole into the top with your needle and thread making sure to leave enough thread to make a loop.

Bubble Painting

What you need:

What you do:

Mix water, saop an a few drops of food coloring in plastic cup. Put the cup on the baking sheet or newspaper. Blow bubbles with the straw until the bubbles have spilled out onto the baking sheet. Make sure not to suck up the mixture. After you have lots of bubbles, remove the cup take a sheet of paper and lay it on top of the bubbles. Lift off the paper and let dry. After dry, use markers to draw a design around the bubbles.

Thumb Print Art

What you need:

What you do:

Make thumb prints and finger prints on the paper and draw animals and objects around them. You can draw animals, people, characters or even space craft.
