What you need:

What you do:

First off you decide what you want to make. To get started you need to design what you will make. The bottom of the bag will become the top of the animal's head. If your animal has spots, stripes, etc color the bag appropriately. Use the crease of the bag for a mouth. Cut out a pink or red felt tongue and glue it inside the crease. Use two buttons for the eyes. Add some fringed black construction paper for eyelashes. Cut 2 ears from coordinating felt or construction paper. Put on a puppet show with your new friend.

What you do:

Cut two BIG identical circles out of wrapping paper. Mix equal parts of glue and water together. Using an old paintbrush coat the wrong side of one piece of the paper with the glue mixture. Then place the other piece of paper so that wrong sides are together. {Make sure your pattern is the side showing.} Place it on your head and form it into a hat shape while the glue is still wet. Once you have your hat shape place it over a blown-up balloon or ball. Let set over night. Once it is completely dry decorate.

9. Bauble Bag

What you need:

What you do:

Fold the short end of the cloth down about an inch on both sides making a flap. Sew it down about 1/4 inch from edge of fabric. Making sure to leave the ends open. You now have two 'tubes' at either end of the cloth. Fold the cloth in half so the tubes line up. Sew up sides stopping just before the tubes. Turn your charm bag inside out and put the string through the tubes. Tie the ends together and you have your bauble bag. Good for little trinkets or make it bigger for larger items.

10. Puzzling Fun

What you need:

What you do:

Either find a picture you like or draw one and color it on the posterboard. For the found picture you need to glue it to the posterboard. Turn the posterboard over to the non-picture side and draw puzzle pieces. The bigger the pieces the easier the puzzle will be. Cut out the pieces and you have your puzzle.

11. Creative People

What you need:

What you do:

Cut 2 sheets of paper each into 3 equal-sized rectangles. This will give you 6 rectangles. Stack the rectangles on top of each other. Fold them down twice, dividing the papers into three sections. Undo the fold and draw a figure on each page. Head on top, body, and then legs in the bottom sections. After you have finished the drawings, cut a piece of lightweight cardboard about the same size and put on bottom of your stack. Staple your stack on the left side of your drawings to make a book. Carefully cut the pages on the fold lines made earlier. Do not cut the cardboard.

Take about 2 feet of yarn, put a knot in one end and wrap the other end in tape as to it will be able to go through the holes.
